After last season with frozen feet, I invested in a "real" pair of insulated hunting boots. The Cabela's Inferno Insulated Waterproof Hunting Boots for Men have 2,000 grams of insulation to keep your feet warm when the temps plummet. Like with most outdoor gear, there are tradeoffs. While these boot are warm and very comfortable to wear, they are heavy at 5+ lbs for the pair. These boots are designed for standing on a metal tree stand or a frozen lake.
Having worn these boots for a few seasons now, I wished I had invested the additional $40 for the Cabela's Inferno Boa Waterproof Winter Boots. I experienced the benefit of Boa lacing system on a pair of snowboard boots-- it's really great.
