Cabela's Zoned Comfort Trac Insulated Rubber Boots

The Cabela's Zoned Comfort Trac Insulated Rubber Boots are a must-have item of gear for cold or wet weather hunting in the Northeast. The boots feature three separate zones of 3M Thinsulate for maximum comfort and varying levels of warmth.

Cabelas offers three versions of this boot-- 800-grams, 1200-grams, and 2000-grams of insulation. My boots (pictured below, right) are 800-gram. The camo pattern is different than the current selection. These boots are designed very well from the inside out. I have hiked all day in these boots and while they don't have the ankle support of laced hiking/hunting boots, they perform well.

On the outside, the heel kicks are awesome for removing the boot with or without a boot jack.

To improve the fit and performance of all of my hunting and hiking footwear, I use Superfeet arch support inserts. Since these run close to $50 each, I buy one pair and rotate them into the boots I am wearing at the time.
