First Light - Brooks Down Glassing Mitt

Updated: Jan 4, 2022

While hunting in the cold temperatures in late November, a good pair of gloves must be sensitive enough to feel the trigger of my release or rifle and warm enough so my fingers won't go numb. While glassing or while on a spot and stalk hunt, I like to occasionally swap my gloves for these mittens which achieves two things. My primary gloves get a chance to dry out while my hands getting toasty warm in these mittens. At only 4 ounces for the pair, its a "no brainer" to hook these mittens on the outside of my pack using the extra large loops and a small carabiner and swap them throughout the day.

Detailed Specs:

  • 800 Fill 37.5 Active Downtek

  • Available in sizes S, M, L & XL

  • Color/Patterns: Fusion, Cipher and Dry Earth

  • Approximately 4 ozs. for the pair

  • $70.00 USD

The two videos below are from Firstlite website. The first is an overview of the product and the second explains the Downtek insulation technology.
